Interventional Radiologist

Seeking a board certified, Fellowship trained Interventional Radiologist.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm . Never scheduled onsite after 5pm. Assigned Call for IR Coverage only. Diagnostic call is staffed seperately and responsible for non IR call procedures, such as para's and LPs.  

Study and Procedure Volume: IR/Procedure volumes vary by day. IR positions typically assist with reading plain films when not busy with IR cases. All radiologists occasionally rotate through the day time cross-sectional job slot. The majority of time IR will be scheduled in either Angio, procedures or at the group owned outpatient IR center. 

Call: 1:4 weekday IR call (5p-8a weekdays). IR weekend call is 1:4 (48 hrs Friday 5p to Monday 8a). Additional compensation for weekend IR call standby and paid for procedure time onsite when called in. 
Practice Mix: 70-85% Interventional Radiology and with some time in General Diagnostic 

Procedures: most vascular and non-vascular interventions, complex high acuity procedures, Trauma 3 hospital. 

Radiologist owned OBL- varicose veins, PAD, UFE, GAE, PAE, ERSD, starting Y90 program in 2026.  If there a procedure you are passionate about our group is excited to support you in growing that service. 

# Physicians in IR Practice: typically 4 IR, currently only 3 IR. Hiring to replace 1 radiologist who has reccently left IR for general radiology and is still with our group. 

Mineral King Radiological Medical Group is a private practice in Visalia that’s been around for over 55 years and currently has 10 partner radiologists. Mineral King is associated with Kaweah Health Medical Center which is a 581-bed hospital with level III trauma designation. They staff the main hospital, Kaweah's outpatient imaging center as well as a radiologist owned outpatient imaging center. The group also owns their own outpatient interventional radiology center.
