Pay Rate: $3168.00 - $3265.00
This MRI Technologist opportunity is based in Easton, Pennsylvania, a welcoming city in the Lehigh Valley region known for its attractive blend of small-town charm and easy access to major metropolitan areas. Easton offers tree-lined streets, historic architecture, and a lively downtown with restaurants, cafes, and boutiques. The city is home to popular attractions such as the Crayola Experience, art galleries, riverfront parks, and seasonal festivals along the Delaware and Lehigh Rivers. Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy nearby hiking, biking, and water activities, while those seeking urban experiences appreciate the convenient drives to Philadelphia and New York City. Easton’s strong sense of community, affordable living, and growing healthcare presence make it an appealing location for professionals looking to balance meaningful work with quality of life.
The facility features modern imaging services within a well-organized hospital environment that supports high-quality patient care and professional collaboration. MRI services are integrated into a broader radiology department, offering exposure to a diverse range of cases including outpatient, inpatient, and potential emergency or trauma imaging. You will work with GE MRI equipment and standardized imaging protocols designed to support accurate diagnosis and efficient patient throughput. The department is supported by radiologists and multidisciplinary clinical teams that value safety, clear communication, and continuous improvement in imaging practices.
Typical responsibilities for this role include performing MRI examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols, ensuring proper patient identification and MRI safety screening, positioning patients and operating GE MRI scanners, and monitoring image quality throughout the examination. You will prepare patients by explaining procedures, addressing questions or concerns, and ensuring comfort while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards, particularly for patients with implants or devices. Documentation of procedures, entry of data into EMR and PACS systems, and coordination with radiologists for timely review and interpretation of studies are integral parts of the daily workflow.
You will also assist in maintaining a clean, safe MRI environment, including routine equipment checks, adherence to infection prevention practices, and compliance with departmental and hospital policies. Collaboration with nurses, transport staff, and other technologists is essential to managing the patient schedule efficiently, especially during peak evening and weekend hours. Participation in quality assurance activities, protocol updates, and ongoing training may also be part of the role, providing opportunities to refine skills and stay current with imaging best practices.
