Remote radiology — often called teleradiology — is the practice of interpreting imaging studies away from the site where they were acquired. Radiologists read X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound exams through a PACS and dictation setup and return reports to hospitals and imaging centers, frequently supporting after-hours, overflow, and subspecialty coverage.
