This Interventional Radiology or Vascular Technologist position is based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, a historic and welcoming city in the Lehigh Valley. You will be working in a modern, hospital-based environment that supports specialized imaging and interventional procedures. The facility features angio and neuro suites designed for complex vascular and neurovascular interventions, with a focus on safe, high-quality patient care. As an IR or Vascular Technologist, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes physicians, nurses, and other imaging professionals who collaborate closely to deliver efficient and effective care.
This position is structured around a defined weekend schedule: Saturday and Sunday from 6:45 a.m. to 7:15 p.m., for a total of two 12-hour shifts and 24 hours per week. This weekend-focused role is ideal for candidates seeking concentrated work days with weekdays open for personal pursuits, continuing education, or travel. On-call is anticipated but will be clarified during the interview process, and you should be comfortable with the possibility of call requirements typical of interventional services.
Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing patients and procedure rooms for interventional and vascular procedures, operating specialized imaging equipment in angio and neuro suites, supporting physicians during procedures, and monitoring patient status in collaboration with nursing staff. You will contribute to maintaining strict safety protocols, contrast usage guidelines, radiation safety, sterile technique, and proper documentation within the facility’s EMR. You may assist with a range of procedures such as diagnostic angiograms, peripheral interventions, neurovascular interventions, and other vascular imaging studies, depending on the facility’s caseload and physician practice patterns.
Patient volumes and ratios will vary based on the daily schedule, but you can expect to manage a steady flow of cases typical of a busy interventional service. The environment is fast-paced, requiring strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to teamwork. You will collaborate closely with supervising technologists and radiology leadership, with ample opportunity to refine your skills in complex imaging and interventional techniques.
The facility emphasizes efficient onboarding, so all documents are due 1 week prior to the start date, and all candidates across the system are expected to begin as soon as possible, typically no more than 4–5 weeks from submission.
