Bethlehem is known for its revitalized downtowns, walkable neighborhoods, and vibrant arts and culture scene. The area features year-round attractions including renowned festivals such as Musikfest, historic sites from the steel and Moravian heritage, live music venues, theaters, and a diverse restaurant and craft brewery scene. You will be working in a modern hospital setting that is part of a respected regional health network recognized for its quality of care and commitment to education and innovation. The environment emphasizes patient-centered care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and continuous improvement. As an IR or Vascular Tech, you will be part of a highly skilled team that supports a wide range of interventional and vascular procedures in angio and neuro suites, with access to advanced imaging and technology designed to support complex cases and enhance patient outcomes.
This is a full-time position with a 40-hour workweek on day shifts, structured as four 10-hour shifts. The role includes on-call responsibilities of up to 7 days of call per month, including 1 weekend per month. During call, you will support emergent and urgent procedures and collaborate closely with the interventional and neurovascular teams to provide timely, high-quality care.
Daily responsibilities include preparing patients and procedure rooms for interventional and vascular procedures, operating and troubleshooting equipment in angio and neuro suites, assisting physicians during procedures, documenting appropriate information in the EMR and imaging systems, and ensuring adherence to radiation safety and infection control standards. You will work with a multidisciplinary team including interventional radiologists, vascular surgeons, neurologists, nurses, and other allied health professionals. The role requires a high degree of technical proficiency, critical thinking, and calm performance in high-acuity, time-sensitive situations.
The facility supports a busy procedural schedule with both inpatient and outpatient cases. Depending on department needs, your daily caseload may include a mix of vascular interventions, neurovascular procedures, and other interventional radiology cases. The environment values efficiency and teamwork, helping ensure smooth case flow and positive patient experiences. You will be expected to participate in room turnover, equipment checks, and quality assurance initiatives, contributing to ongoing departmental improvements.
The facility provides free parking for staff, making commuting easier and more convenient. The dress code is scrubs in any color, offering flexibility while maintaining a professional appearance. The hospital is accustomed to working with travelers and new team members, providing orientation to the department, equipment, and workflows so you can integrate smoothly into the team.
All candidates submitted for roles at this system must be able to start as soon as possible. Documentation and credentialing materials are due at least one week before the start date, and start dates beyond 4–5 weeks from submission cannot be accommodated. Requested time off must be declared at submission, and there is a 30-day notice requirement for ending the assignment, which supports continuity for patients and the care team.
