The System Manager of Imaging Services works in partnership with the Director of Diagnostics to plan, organize, and direct daily operations across one or more imaging modalities, including:
Diagnostic X-ray
Nuclear Medicine
Ultrasound
MRI
PET
CT
Breast Imaging
This role supports inpatient services, Trauma and Emergency care, on-site outpatient services, and off-site outpatient locations. The System Manager plays a critical leadership role in ensuring high-quality, safe, and efficient imaging services across Bronson Battle Creek Hospital.
Employees providing direct patient care must demonstrate competencies specific to the population served.
Provide operational leadership for assigned imaging areas, ensuring efficient workflows, quality outcomes, and patient-centered care
Collaborate with the Imaging Director to develop short- and long-term departmental goals and strategic plans
Develop, manage, and monitor departmental budgets, securing appropriate approvals
Lead hiring, onboarding, performance management, and professional development of imaging staff
Promote collaboration and strong communication among physicians, leadership, staff, and other departments
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements, including MQSA, ACR, OSHA, DOT, EPA, DNREC, and Joint Commission standards
Oversee patient safety initiatives, infection control practices, radiation safety, and quality control programs
Analyze operational and performance reports, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed
Partner with Purchasing, Central Distribution, and vendors to maintain appropriate inventory and supplies
Apply continuous improvement methods to address issues impacting turnaround times, test quality, and reporting accuracy
Demonstrate flexibility in staffing and adaptability to evolving patient care needs
Current licensure in one of the following:
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS)
Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan
Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally with a management focus
3–5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, engage, and develop team members
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to exercise independent judgment, critical thinking, and operational decision-making
Comfort managing work that requires sustained concentration, attention to detail, and frequent computer use
