Do I have to include salary in my job posting?

Yes — a readable pay range is required, and it is what candidates filter on.

Last updated July 31, 2026

Yes. A posting needs a compensation range that can be read as numbers.

The reason is candidate behaviour rather than policy. Pay is one of the first things people narrow by, and a posting without a readable range is simply not there when someone filters to it. It is the single biggest thing you control about how many people see your role.

Changing pay type clears what you entered

Pick the pay type that fits the role before you type the numbers, or you will type them twice.

Still not sure?
