How do I change what RJ Recruiter looks for, or pause it?

Edit your preferences any time — and the two reasons matches go quiet.

Last updated July 31, 2026
  1. Open RJ Recruiter and choose Refine, or go to Account and the Job Preferences tab
  2. Change what you are looking for — subspecialty, location, schedule, pay
  3. Add deal-breakers, or employers you do not want to hear from
  4. Use the Active / Paused switch to stop matches without losing your setup

If your matches go quiet

Two things stop matches arriving, and neither looks like what it is.

Emptying something it needs — clearing your location, say — pauses matching even though you did not press pause. If it reads as Paused and you know you did not pause it, check whether one of your preferences is now blank.

A deal-breaker drawn too widely can rule out almost everything. If matches stopped right after you added one, that is the first thing to loosen.
