What happens when I say I'm interested in a match?
Approving a match is what shares your details. Nothing goes out before that.
Last updated July 31, 2026Pressing Refer me on a match is the moment your details reach that employer, and only that employer. Nothing is sent to an employer until you approve that specific role.
You can respond from the email you were sent or from the RJ Recruiter page in your account — they do the same thing. Some employers take applications on their own site, in which case you are pointed there to finish, and the rest of the conversation happens with them directly.
